INSHORE DIVISION

Point System   Eligible species and points.  ALL fish must meet State and Federal requirements.  



STRIPED BASS- 1 point per pound
  • 4 fish total per boat per day.
  • 8 fish total for the tournament.


BLUE FISH - 1 point per pound
  • 4 fish total per boat per day.
  • 8 fish total for the tournament.


BONITO- 1 point per pound
  • 4 fish total per boat per day.
  • 8 fish total for the tournament.


FLUKE- 1 point per pound
  • 5 fish per angler per boat total per day.
  • 20 fish total per boat per day.


SEA BASS - 1 point per pound
  • 4 fish total per boat per day.
  • 8 fish total for the tournament.


BONUSES


  • 200 points awarded for a Grand Slam. 
    Grand Slam equals all 5 species of legal size in one day.​
  • 100 points awarded for a Slam. 
    ​Slam equals 4 of 5 species of legal size in one day.
  • One Grand Slam or Slam available per boat per day. Fish must be of legal size and noted by weigh station each day.

BLUE MARLIN - 300 points

  • Points awarded for each successful release (no release limit).
  • No points awarded for weigh in.  RELEASE ONLY.
  • Video required.


WHITE MARLIN- 150 points

  • Points awarded for each successful release (no release limit).
  • No points awarded for weigh in.  RELEASE ONLY.
  • Hatchet Marlin will also count as White Marlin.


SWORDFISH – 500 points

  • Points awarded for each successful catch or release (no release limit).
  • Weigh-in points will be awarded 1 point per pound for every pound over 200 pounds, e.g. 225 pound sword awarded 500 points plus 25.


TUNAS - 25 points per successful release

Bigeye, Yellowfin, Albacore, Bluefin

  • Releases limited to 8 per boat total. 
  • All eligible species combined for the tournament.
  • Weigh in points awarded 1 point per pound, limit 4 per species per boat.  (**Bluefin limited to the Federal recreational catch limits as of the tournament date.)


DOLPHIN (Mahi-mahi) - No release points awarded

  • Weigh in points will be awarded 1 point per pound.
  • Limit 10 per boat total for the tournament.


WAHOO - No release points awarded

  • Weigh in points will be awarded 1 point per pound.
  • No limit on the number of wahoo for weigh -in for the tournament.


BONUSES


  • 500 points per Slam. One slam allowed per trip. ​Slam consists of one each blue marlin, white marlin and swordfish.
  • ​200 points awarded for catching all 4 of the eligible tuna species.
  • 100 points awarded for catching 3 of the four eligible tuna species.
